What is a Journeyman?

A Journeyman Wireman is a term used to describe an individual who has completed the 4 or 5-year apprenticeship program. They have gained the knowledge and skills to work on jobsites without supervision. The Journeyman Wireman may be asked to supervise the training of apprentices or to lead a group of other Journeymen and apprentices by taking on the job of Foreman, General Foreman or Superintendent.
